Evacuating New Orleans Torah Scrolls

This is a photograph of New Orleans Torahs being evacuated from the city in the days following Hurricane Katrina. These Torahs were brought to Beth Shalom Synagogue in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and were then evacuated a second time when Beth Shalom was damaged in Hurricane Rita.
