Hillel Alternative Break Trips

Gutted House in Biloxi

This is a picture of the inside of a house that has been gutted on 291 Kuhn Street in Biloxi, Mississippi. A group of Hillel students from campuses across the country traveled to Gulfport and Biloxi to spend their spring break repairing homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The students learned basic construction and roofing skills. By the end of the week, the house at 291 Kuhn street had a brand new roof.
