URJ Leadership Mission - water level
Rabbi Deborah Hirsch (URJ-NY) and Rabbi Michael Latz (WA) show how high the water level rose in the Central City neighborhood.This photograph was taken in April, 2006, when twenty leaders from Reform congregations across the country came to New Orleans for a leadership mission. Participants visited local Reform congregations, met with Jewish leaders and government officials, and learned about some of the ongoing problems in the region.
