more shoveling
This is a picture of Hillel students clearing out a home that had been badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina. These students were part of a group of hundreds of college students from Hillels across the country that spent their spring breaks in Slidell and New Orleans, Louisiana, repairing homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina. A year and a half after the storm, there is still a tremendous amount of work to be done. This photograph was taken by Nellie Krentzman, a University of Vermont Hillel staff member, in March, 2007.
