Re-Building a Humanitarian Bond

This is an article by Nada Tawfik titled "Re-Building a Humanitarian Bond: Muslim and Jewish Students from NYU Take New Orleans." This article appeared in the winter 2007 issue of New Voices magazine. The article describes an interfaith alternative spring break trip run by New York University Hillel Rabbi Yehudah Sarna and NYU Muslim chaplain Khalid Latif in March, 2007. 30 NYU students - 15 Jewish, and 15 Muslim - participated in the trip, rebuilding homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
