construction yoga

This is a picture of the Hillel work crew at 291 Kuhn street starting their day of construction off with a little yoga. These students were all participants in Hillel's alternative spring break trip to Gulfport and Biloxi Mississippi. They were part of a group of students from Hillels across the country that spent their winter and spring breaks learning basic roofing and construction skills and repairing local homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina. By the end of their week in Mississippi, the house at 291 Kuhn street had a brand new roof. This photograph was taken by Dorie Ain, a staff member at the University of North Carolina Hillel, on March 15th, 2006.
