Orange Grove Presbyterian Church

This is a picture of the sign for the Orange Grove Presbyterian Church in Gulfport, Mississippi. Presbyterian Disaster Assistance established Volunteer Villages along the Gulf Coast to house the many volunteers who helped in the region after Hurricane Katrina. Hillel students stayed in these villages while participating in Hillel's spring 2006 alternative spring break trips. Hundreds of college students from Hillels across the country spent their winter or spring breaks in Gulfport and Biloxi, Mississippi, learning basic construction skills and repairing homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina. This picture was taken by University of Vermont student Greg Murphy in March, 2006.
