"First-hand Report" was written by Steven J. Edelstein, Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Nasvhille and Middle Tennessee. The article was published in The Jewish Observer, a Publication of the Jewish Federation of Nashville, in September, 2005. Steven writes about a trip he took with Jeff Fladen, Executive Director of Jewish Family Service of Nashville, to Jackson, Mississippi on behalf of the United Jewish Communities. Their assignment was to assess the needs of evacuees and distribute cash disbursements from the fund which UJC had recently opened to assist with the disaster.
